We Are Altered honed life’s bruises to beats and melancholic melodies with songs about the simplicities and complexities of life.

Formed by two producers, John Meredith and John Rushton in 2008, with laptop mentality WAA wrote and recorded their debut album in churches, halls and forests ….anywhere they could find to give heart to songs about life, love, loss and the everyday. Debut single ‘We Became So Close’ starred a trio of Playmobil people telling the tale of a bizarre love triangle, and earned national radio play.

As individuals, the John’s have released material under various guises, written tracks for TV and recently remixed Zoviet France (Mute) ,James Blake (R & S)and Local Natives (Infectious) and together they’ve remixed Troels Abrahemsen (Veto, Denmark) and Shortwave Fade (UK)

The album is available as a limited edition cassette with hand made sleeve and stickers, and as a download.
